Kharkiv National Medical University (KNMU) founded in 1921 has the biggest number of foreign students in Ukraine. The university has faculties of General Medicine; Pediatrics; Dentistry; Sanitary-hygienic and Preparatory faculty for foreign nationals. There are also sixty-seven departments functioning within the university. The scientific library has about 1 million tutorials.
KNMU has a complex of modern premises for educational objectives and five dormitories that allows the university to place every student who needs accommodation.
The university has an extensive scientific- research base where at present days the university scientists conduct more than forty studies on most priority directions as cardiovascular diseases, viral infections etc. The educational and scientific center of the university is equipped with classes of phantom learning technologies.
KNMU- is a member of International University Association and also is included into the registry of medical universities of World Health Organization.
The university develops a cooperation network with other medical universities in Ukraine and Europe among which are universities in Germany, Poland, Lithuania and others.
The overall international activity of the university is directed at increasing the university’s world ranking and quality of teaching process.
