Located in Kyiv, capital of Ukraine, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULESU) is a major higher education institution and research center whose history began in 1898 as an agricultural department of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. In 1923 it transformed into an independent agricultural university. In 2008 the university obtained its modern name.
Nowadays, the university structure consists of eleven research centers, twenty-one faculties and ten laboratories. NULESU actively collaborates with National research centers of agricultural sciences.
There are about three hundred D.sc. and professors in the university.
In 2014 the university was included into the list of the best universities of Commonwealth of Independent States and in 2015 it was marked as the third best university of Kyiv.

NULESU pays a huge attention to sport demands of modern students therefore the university possesses great facilities which include a soccer stadium, pitches for other kind of sport games like basketball and volleyball, tennis-courts etc.
